This document preceded the ‘International Consensus Primer for M.E’ by several years. Although helpful in explaining many aspects of M.E and providing clear physiological-neurological evidence of the many abnormalities presenting in many patients, the consensus was that the continued confusion of M.E with ‘Chronic Fatigue’ was not helpful, so the document was improved upon by separating M.E and ‘fatigue syndromes’ as separate entities.
Nevertheless, the Candain Consensus Document is helpful in explaining many of the causative factors in M.E whilst also highlighting the many problems with confusing ‘fatigue’ and M.E. I’ve listed a few examples of the material in the document below.
